Deliveries to the Aude & Ariege, 1st and 2nd of June

Good afternoon

It has been some considerable time since my last round with my fine sausages for the discerning customer. My apologies for that.

I tend to try to take much of May off because of all of the bank holidays, jours ponts, and the consequent difficulty in getting supplies and deliveries.

I took the opportunity instead to go back to the UK, see my family and my lovely wife, and to eat far too much. I am now the size of a small sovereign state. Exercise regime starts tomorrow…..

I will be coming round the Aude and Ariege on Sunday the 1st and Monday the 2nd of June with the following bangers:

Tasty breakfast
Traditional
Cumberland
Leek
Jalapeño

and one special:

Lincolnshire

Everything available as 6 big bangers, or 500 gramme vacuum pack meat.

By special request I will also be making some tasty breakfast flavour chipolatas.

All products still at €5 per packet.

I”m afraid that there is no bacon this time round. I should have some ready for my delivery in July.

I would be very grateful for orders by Tuesday 27th of May.

Delivery to the PO, Saturday 26th of April

I will be back down in the region on Saturday the 26th of April
with a selection of my fine sausages for the discerning customer.

This will be last visit until June – the month of May is always a tricky one for sourcing meat because of the number of bank holidays, the pont days etc. I’m therefore heading off back to the UK to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary. So, if you would like, make sure you stock up!

The sausages I’m making this time are:

The Tasty – a typical English breakfast sausage, great for a brunch
The Traditional – sausages like they used to be with a subtle mix of herbs and a hint of nutmeg
The Pyrenean Cumberland – our speciality having trained in Cumbria.
Pork and Leek – no small crumbs of leek, we use great big bits!
Jalapeno – mexican chillis for exotic heat

Plus one special:

Chilli & Coriander – a rich, full flavour with just a cheeky nip of heat

All at 5 euros per packet for six big bangers.

I will also have a very limited, first come first served, amount of my hand rubbed, dry cured, hand sliced back bacon. This is unsmoked, and thick sliced with 8 slices for 5 euros.

Sausage meat also available for making stuffing, sausage rolls, scotch eggs…… This comes in a 500 gramme vacuum pack and also costs 5 euros.

I only use shoulder meat, sourced locally, the best cut for making sausages (no “yucky bits”), and add no fat. The sausages are made in my small manufacturing facility in the Aude, Languedoc Rousillon.
I never use frozen pork, only fresh. Sausages are ideal for the freezer.

I will be appearing at the following drop off points:

0800 – 0810 St Paul de Fenouillet, main square behind the bus stop
1015 – 1030 Prades, behind the big blue Chambre de Commerce building on the way into the town
1130 – 1145 The Domaine Treloar, Trouillas where Jon and Rachel are very kindly hosting me
Double up with a banger and fine wine Combo – I will provide free delivery to all those ordering wine from Domaine Treloar
1215 – 1245 Behind the Salle Polyvalente, St Jean Pla de Corts
1345 – 1400 Stade Gilbert Brutus, Perpignan – in front of the old entrance.
1430 – 1445 CANET PLAGE – at the College Cote Radieuse

Deliveries to the Aude, Ariege, and Olonzac areas, 8th, 9th and 11th of March.

Good afternoon

I will be coming round on my deliveries on the weekend of the 8th, 9th and 11th of March with a selection of my fine sausages.

I will be making the following:

Tasty breakfast

Traditional

Cumberland

Jalapeño

Plus two specials:

Lincolnshire

Caramelised Onion & Red Pepper

Prices still held to 2010 levels. €5 for a packet of six big sausages.

For my Quillan customers, I will be parked outside the Train Station between 10.00 and 10.30 on the 8th for pick up of orders, unless you would prefer a home delivery. Please let me know which works best for you.

For my Olonzac customers, I will be in my usual market spot in the Place des Herbes.

Everything good for freezing – only fresh meat used in my bangers!

If possible, orders please by Tuesday evening, 4th of March.

Welcome to my new website

I’ve finally got round to updating the website.  Hurray and many thanks to Rolfie for his splendid design, and to Phil Gorst for some photos that just about manage to make me look human.

 

As you may have noticed, I have stopped doing the markets and am instead doing monthly home deliveries around the Aude, Ariege, Herault and PO.  Next rounds : 2nd weekend / Tuesday of March to Aude, Ariege and Herault; PO on Saturday 15th of March (full details on here next week).

 

I hope that this gives you the customer a better service, and you can budget ahead to buying a month’s stock of my fine bangers and bacon.  If you would like I can double wrap the bangers to make them more freezer friendly than ever.  I recommend keeping the sausages no longer than 3 months as they may suffer from freezer burn, impairing their appearance.

 

Bangers are still made using locally sourced pork, only shoulder meat , no added fat, and certainly no “yucky bits”.  You really can taste the difference as I believe the phrase has it.
